SBR rubber sheets are products made from styrene-butadiene rubber copolymer. The vulcanized rubber from this compound offers elastic properties similar to natural rubber (NR), but with increased resistance to atmospheric factors such as ozone, water, and weather conditions.
Vulcanized products made from SBR rubber are resistant to many non-polar solvents and diluted acids and alkalis. However, they tend to swell significantly in fuels, oils, and greases—though this is less than natural rubber. SBR vulcanizates are resistant to alcohols and mild inorganic acids and bases.
SBR rubber sheets are widely used in construction, transport, and industry as floor coverings, conveyor belts, protective mats, and soundproofing mats.
